Logic Brains And Creativity
I’m a lawyer and I have a logic brain,
which I can turn on as long as necessary, at full speed, if I must.
But non-stop precision can be draining.
If I’m in this mode too long, my logic brain loses its edge.
For a long time, I just pushed through it. But then I started putting my ideas into a different format, just to try something new.
It was a revelation! My creative brain flourished and brought life back to my logic brain.
I was still working within structure and constraints, but I could experiment and communicate my ideas in a completely new way. Eventually, this crept into my legal writing as I started being more comfortable thinking outside the box.
If you, too, are a secretly creative lawyer, I’d love to chat! Check out my Workshops page for more information on tapping into this part of our brains.
