Just because it’s complicated, doesn’t mean it has to be confusing or dense.
If you need simplified visuals of complex information, I’ve got you covered.
Do you want your complex ideas to pop and engage your audience?
What if your ideas
were simplified, colorful, and easy to digest?
What if they were transformed into a comic book? How fun would that be?!
Complex Digestible
Dense Engaging
Informative
I translate your complex ideas into simple visuals
so that people are more likely to absorb the ideas you’ve worked hard on!
Here’s How it Works
I start with the complex topic or concept that needs visualizing.
I read it, analyze it and make sure I understand it.
Then, I pull out the key ideas to create a kind of script, which can be divided into a small number of panels or illustrations.
For each panel, I use a simple drawing style to visualize that section of text.
What will the end product look like?

Short & Sweet Socials
Your complex ideas are broken down into a series of square illustrations.
The text is placed on the image, so that the files can be used in a social media post, a short booklet with drawing per page, or a skinny bookmark.
These are generally 6-10 files.
For a longer original piece, we may create more than one of these series, perhaps based on subtopics or chapters.
-
Illustrations + Text on The Side
Your complicated concept broken into a set of illustrations and text.
In this format the text isn’t place on the illustration.
Instead, it’s given to you separately, so that it can be added to your website copy, punctuated by the images.
This works best for shorter projects, but is also an option if you would like to devote a whole page to a long, scrollable visual translation of the concept.
-
Complex to Comic Book
Your text-based work is transformed into a format that resembles a comic book, for print or digital use.
Just like the other outputs, the ideas are translated into simple visuals with corresponding text.
But in this format, there can be multiple illustrations on a page, formatted similarly to a comic book.
This option is great for adding to swag bags and giving out after events.
A dense paper becomes a comic book.
Will this work for social media? Yes!
What about Marketing? Yes!
A long report becomes a visual summary.
Won’t I lose something of the original if I’m adapting it this way?
Not if the original isn’t being read.
A visual adaptation is the cherry on top your original work.
For anyone who needs to get into the weeds, the original is there and ready for them.
Most people don’t have the time or interest to get that detailed, even though they may actually find the concepts valuable or intriguing.
They need a different way into their work.
Visual communication is a powerful way in.
My colorful, approachable drawing style balances the big ideas so that neither word nor text is overwhelming.
For example, here’s a short comic that explains a confusing part of the U.S. Constitution:
This is perfect for:

Request a quote based on the details of your project and the source material.
Once we’ve had a chance to meet and agree on the scope, I’ll get to work creating a shortened script that breaks down the original text into key points.
You have the chance to review the script before I create the sketches.
After you review the sketches, I’ll create the final illustrations and send them your way.

Breaking down your complex topic starts at $INSERT for a set of 5 panels/illustrations used for non-commercial purposes. Reach out or fill out the form for a more accurate quote based on your specific project.

The AI models are able to do illustration, yes. But they don’t have the experience breaking down complex concepts into visuals like I do. I’m not afraid to ask questions about the concepts to make sure we’re going in the right direction. AI can try, but in this can’t, it’s not likely to deliver.
