Research Paper Comic

This comic was created for Laude in 2025 to help communicate the ideas of the Shaping AI vision paper written by a team of computer scientists with expertise in AI. Maddy read and studied the paper, wrote the script for the 25 page comic, and drew all of the illustrations. Art direction by K. Tighe of Laude and graphic design by Richard McClellan.

Laude’s goal is to support computer science researchers to ship their work, as they strive for milestones in computer science development.

A few of the pages pictured also adapt David Patterson’s paper “How to Build a Bad Research Center”
